North Carolina Football Club just announced their agreement to acquire the National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL) 2016 Champion Western New York Flash.
The club will be renamed North Carolina Courage (NC Courage) and will play at WakeMed Soccer Park in Cary.
The new branding includes a lion which pays homage to the first Carolina Courage team that played 2001-2003. The colors and signature star mirror the men’s team, uniting both clubs under the North Carolina Football Club organization.
The NWSL regular season begins mid-April and lasts until late-September. There are 10 clubs in the league with each playing 10 matches at home and 10 away.
Season Tickets are now available for purchase.
